1.25" Next Generation Laser Collimator for Newtonian Telescopes
Collimate Your Newtonian Telescope in Just in Few Minutes with this laserDesigned for Reflector telescopes, this collimator fits a standard 1.25 inch diameter and comes with a 2" adapter. It has a red laser collimation beam with 7 brightness levels, at a wavelength of 635-655 nm;
Output power: less than 5mw, which is safer for your eyes - do not look at laser!
This sturdy laser unit allows you to swiftly and precisely collimate your Newtonian telescope.
Only when the telescope optics have been accurately collimated can the telescope offer you its full performance.
The laser unit is housed in a precision-made aluminium unit with a front opening through which the laser is emitted. In order to obtain an optimal adjustment, the unit has a side window containing a disk oriented at 45 with a central hole. When collimated the laser dot disappears into the central hole on the disc. This indicates that the optics are collimated (or mirrors aligned).
The collimator requires a CR2032 Lithium Cell battery (included). The battery can be changed by unscrewing the cap at the rear of the laser unit.
Accurate collimation can be achieved in a few minutes to provide a clearer image. The telescope can be collimated by just one person..
The laser comes fully adjusted. It can however be further adjusted if required. It has three openings for adjustment, arranged at 120 , which are initially sealed.
It is very simple to get the optimum performance out of your telescope using this device.

Thank you Laurence, the unit works very well with the speaker arrangement I have and has a clear sound, it has brought new life to these since my amp blew many years ago. Vaughan
